Nick 13 #1 Posted February 17, 2009 Had an offer to do some trailer trading tonight. Might work out a deal with my 5x9 trailer for a 7x18 project. Went just to look at the big trailer but hauled it home so odds are I will be rebuilding another one. Built the 5x9 trailer last year. Started with just the axle and partial frame cut from an old camper. The new possible project is a 4 place snowmobile trailer around 7'-9"x18'. The cross members are about gone but the main frame and tongue look to be real solid and must be 2x4 box steel. The side rails look like they might be salvageable. Not sure why I want another rebuild project. Guess its a trailer sickness, just never can find that perfect trailer. Had to lift it up for easy rust inspection. TJ 184 #2 Posted February 17, 2009 If you can build one from scratch, this new one should be a breeze. Looks like a good project to me.

Nick 13 #6 Posted March 6, 2009 Not much of an update but I did finally start working on the trailer. Unfortunately the rust was about what I had expected for a snowmobile trailer. Looks like 3 cross members are about gone and will get replaced. Also adding some new cross members between the existing ones that dont look to bad. The gas cut off saw is one of my new favorite toys. It can do a lot of damage fast.
