Dennis, there is a fan blower switch that has to engage before the gas valve will open. That may be what you lessened up.

Darn! My just fixed Suburban SF-30 now only clicks when the thermostat calls for heat. "click" and nothing else.  Obviously getting power from the thermostat and the fuse is good but the blower won't come on.  Several have complained about the controller board.

You may have a bad spot in the blower motor armature.

Not a bad commutator but a bad relay (I think relay) on the control board.  Tap on it and the blower moves and stops.  Tap again and same thing.  I'll order a new board!  Great that now we have a cold front coming in...
