FrankinWNY 12 #1 Posted February 16, 2009  My newest horse is a C-120 Auto 1974 that was a one owner, garage kept. Still has the some wax in the grooves on the hood. Owner passes away last year and his son-in law didn't have room for it. Had not run since winter 2007/8. Needed a new solenoid and fresh gas. Has a little piston rattle that is common in the Tecumseh HH120s other than that runs great. Came with a 42" plow and 42" deck that are both in good condition. Cab is like new.... I since changed the blade to my 42" snow thrower and 25x8x12 ATV tires and WH concrete filled wheel weights. Now waiting for it to snow again... Frank in WNY, no more snow covered hats and coveralls when blowing snow..... Attached Image
Teddy da Bear 11 #2 Posted February 16, 2009 Very nice score! I don't believe a Tecumseh was the original engine for that model..... Mine is a kohler.

Rollerman 290 #4 Posted February 16, 2009 I don't believe a Tecumseh was the original engine for that model Mike a few of the C 120's & C160's were equipted with tuckies. There is a story of a supply shortage with Kohler & Tecumseh's were used instead. Frank very nice looking Horse too. Enjoy the cab.
Buzz 502 #5 Posted February 16, 2009 Wheel Horse had six different models of the 1974 C-120. Model # 1-0495 had the Tecumseh. Looks good Frank. A word of warning though, don't let the windshield frost up or you might accidentally drive into Niagara River What are you, about five minutes upstream from the falls? Sparky-(Admin) 19,563 #6 Posted February 17, 2009 I think the C-120 and C-160 with a Tecumseh were called C-120 Special or C-160 Special. Even the decal was differant. Personally I dont think a Tecumseh powered tractor is "Special" . Mike........
WheelHorse_of_course 99 #7 Posted February 17, 2009 Personally I dont think a Tecumseh powered tractor is "Special" . Mike........ Mike, It is a euphemism. Just like the "slow" kids are special

Duff 206 #9 Posted February 17, 2009 I agree with Chris - any Horse that's lived since '74 in such great condition is "special", I don't care what's under the hood! :horseplay: of it working!!!! Duff
