Walhonding520 25 #1 Posted October 30, 2017 Would there be any issues with running 18x8.5x8s on the front of an ‘89 520h? I have larger ATV tires on rear and fronts need replaced and wanted to go a little bigger.
ebinmaine 71,065 #2 Posted October 30, 2017 I don't have your model. Mine is much older. Someone will likely be along soon to chime in with better information than mine. My best advice would be to take some very careful measurements involving the frame and whatever implements you ever run on that tractor - mower deck, snowblower ,plow, whatever... Make sure whatever tires you buy will carry the load of whatever implements you use. Most ATV tires will carry a much lighter load than many garden tractor tires.
shallowwatersailor 3,214 #3 Posted October 30, 2017 If you use that tractor for mowing, you may need to readjust the mower deck. Although if the rears are larger already it may just balance the stance.
953 nut 58,316 #4 Posted October 30, 2017 Be sure there won't be any interference with the deck, some are very close.
Irv 115 #5 Posted October 31, 2017 I have that size on a 312 with 10/23/12 on the rear-no problems
Walhonding520 25 #6 Posted October 31, 2017 Thanks. Rears are 26x11x12 and they just fit. It does sit a little higher in the rear so the 18” up front will level that out.
cschannuth 3,817 #7 Posted November 1, 2017 I have them on my 94 520. It’s going to get a loader so I’m not sure about a mower deck. I like them a lot. I have Carlyle Ags our back that are a little bigger than the turfs so it still sits pretty level. Here’s a side, 1/4 rear, and 1/4 front shot. 2
Bttatro 94 #8 Posted November 1, 2017 @cschannuth, that is a sweet looking machine! I love those toes and wheels on there! 1
Walhonding520 25 #9 Posted November 1, 2017 That is a good looking tractor. Restored or just well taken care of?

I bought this from Horsefixer (Duke) and it was well maintained. It had some deep scratches on the hood and Duke had a set of new decals so I smoothed out a few things, rattle canned some tins, and installed the decals. I’d say it’s a 20 footer and looks pretty good in pictures.
