Kathy looked better today.....I walked with her during her 6 laps

around the 12th floor! Maybe that unit of blood got her

revitalized...... Still her system is not responding.

I feel helpless there.

Mrs. da Bear is feeling a little better today.

Still her system is not functioning yet.

Doctor is still encouraged.......

Wish I was.....but got to have faith!

Thanks all!

We had a little concern late last night. Her temp went up to 102 and

her blood pressure went way up to 141/72.

Thank goodness everything is allright today except for some redness

on her sutchure.. Doc thinks she has a minor infection.

She is on liquid diet! Lets pray this time it takes!

Thanks for being here for me and my Kathy....

Sometimes I think she is getting better and then on some things not so good....

Today is day 17 in the hospital.....

Blood pressure is still going up and down like a yoyo.

She is trying to take in liquid foods... She is off intervenious feeding.

But she cannot eat only a couple of bites and get horribly nauseous.

I am worried she is going to rip her internal stitches.

I am also concerned that the doctor seems antsy to get her out

of the hospital before she is ready.

:thumbs: Mike-I just saw this post! I'm so sorry to hear about your wife! I didn't know of her illness beyond when she first went into the hospital- I'm putting her in my prayers-tell her to keep her chin up! We all want her to get better real soon!-AL

Wow, just noticed this post !

TDB, keep at it and I'm sure she'll get better . My wife and I have been through some hard roads and after 21 years we're more one person than two . We'll be keeping both of you in our thoughts and prayers !

Hey TDB, I've been reading this post to stay updated on your wife, my prayers are with you all. I hope her "system" starts working soon too.

Keep a loving, cheerful, encouraging heart and spirit for your wife, it's gooood medicine said our Lord.

Houston.....the "eagle"(Kathy) has landed!!!!!

At home that is...... System is tentatively working

and the doctor discharged her today.... I think this is

day 20......I have lost track...

Thanks to all the thoughts and prayers they have reminded

me....there are more important things in this world....

Again we can't thank you all that remembered us

with your prayers, thoughts and encoragement.

Kathy is doing fair here on Friday.....

She is not able to eat much and this concerns

me greatly. She is 90 pounds and I was told by

the nurse that if she reaches 85.....call the doctor...

Before you are worried about her current weight....'

I must tell you she is only 4'-10" tall. So 93lbs is

her ideal weight. But someone so small cannot

afford to lose too much.

My Goodness....my weight can fluctuate 5lbs. on

a single meal!

On a side note....my dogs....not having seen my

wife for 20 some days (must have thought she left me).

Freaked out and ran around for joy...... Later that

night when I was petting our greyhound, Payday....I

found she had torn open her haunch on something.

So at 9pm last night I was at the emergency animal

clinic getting her stitched up.

It was such a good day....until then.... She will be ok

I'm sure. She has done this twice before.

I am glad you got her home...it's not good to stay in the hospital longer then necessary...better care at home and comfortable. :banana: :banana:

and now the dog ...ya know, when you are playing poker and it seems like one bad hand after another...I get up and walk around the chair and sit back down.

Works every time. Still my prayers. :thumbs:
