WHX?? 47,225 #26 Posted July 24, 2017 (edited) Might want to check for chains here also. http://www.tirechain.com/ oops never mind that's the same site as Jeff suggested. Just to throw this out there tho take a look at these http://www.rubbertirechains.com/ I know @Ed Kennell runs rubber chains and swears by them. I might try a set this year on asphalt. tallen4392 67 #27 Posted July 24, 2017 Anyone use those duo style chains from tire chains . Com on your ag tires they look like they would work pretty good
Sarge 3,462 #28 Posted July 25, 2017 Never tried using ags in the front - with the Carlisle Tru Power ags up front and some weight it's plenty planted in the steering and never seems to be an issue . Sarge
ronhatch 405 #29 Posted July 26, 2017 (edited) I use cable chains on car tires (14" rims) and 125 lbs of weight on the draw bar pushing a 42" blade of my modified 867 on a blacktop drive. I love to plow in 3rd gear. NO PROBLEM! Edited July 26, 2017 by ronhatch

DennisThornton 4,769 #31 Posted July 28, 2017 Turfs with 2 link chains is all I've ever needed. Heck, I've run chains year round and mown the lawn. Probably hard on the chains but never hurt the lawn.

Chains on turfs work very well on my plow C125. If that is the case, why do my chains scratch up the driveway? Chains will help with ags, but probably will work better with turf tires. But if you aren't in the mood to buy new tires, they do help, but they will scratch up the driveway if you spin Edited July 29, 2017 by WNYPCRepair
