Reverse Speed on Hydroststic

Is there a valve or some metering orifice that regulates the speed of a Sundstrand hydrostatic tranny in reverse? I am plowing the driveway at work which is quite large, and it takes a little while because of the slower reverse. If I modified it, could I ruin the pump or something? :thumbs:

I seem to recall this problem showing up on the Sundstrand repair flow chart, but don't hold me to that...

If you have the auto trans manual, I think there is something in there about it. I'll check tonight just to be sure...

Would I go to the Sundstrand web site to get a flow chart, and manual? A troubleshooting guide and manual would be great.
