SadieCoonhound 8 #1 Posted May 14, 2017 I need to remove the intake manifold to clean the carb. Will I have to remove the muffler? I'd like to order all the gaskets before I start this. its an Onan P220. Would appreciate a source on where to order parts from. Thanks.

SadieCoonhound 8 #3 Posted May 14, 2017 The bolts are on the bottom of the carb. What are you suggesting?

SadieCoonhound 8 #5 Posted May 14, 2017 I'm assuming a long l-shaped box end. Going to give it a try. I thought the bolts would be to long to come out from the bottom. Thanks
woodchuckfarmer 333 #6 Posted May 14, 2017 I think there about 1 inch long.

boomers_influence 106 #8 Posted May 14, 2017 sadie the length of the carb to manifold bolt will depend on the spec letter of the engine. spec A-B 1" to 1 3/8 " X 5/16 spec C and beyond 1 3/4" to 1 7/8" X 5/16 thank you. boomer ( the used onan engine parts guy, also NOS and new )

SadieCoonhound 8 #14 Posted May 21, 2017 Cee The onan service manual says the card can be removed with a crows foot wrench. Or a short 1/2 inch open end. I did it the long way. Removed the muffler, heat shields, etc. Read the manual too late.
