Fordiesel69 271 #1 Posted May 8, 2017 I have a M16 with 1500 hrs on it, and the top bushing is completely shot / worn. 1.) Is there a known good place I can ship the carb to and have it re-bushed? Would prefer a place you personally used with good results. 2.) There was a thread on here where someone used hardware store bushings with success. I cannot find that post. If anyone has the link, I would love to read it over. 3.) I no longer can keep specs straight, but is the M14 and M16 carbs the same? Ebay shows them as such. They will also rebuild it for you if you wish to go that route.
stevasaurus 23,281 #3 Posted May 8, 2017 Excellent advice @Achto Also, if you have a small engine shop that you use, they may be able to do it.

Molon_Labe 731 #5 Posted May 9, 2017 I cut down one of these 1/4"x7/16"x1" bronze bushings for a Walbro carb on a K241 years ago, the price was certainly right and had enough left over for a few more if ever needed. Ace Hardware also sells Hillman bronze bearings 1/4"x7/16"x1/16" PN#58087-A which work just as well and are easier to seat than the thicker bushings. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-4-x-7-16-x-1-inch-Bronze-Brass-Cast-Bushing-Plain-Sleeve-Bearings-0-25-Bore-id-/360738272987?hash=item53fdad36db:g:1OkAAOxyM89ScpZo
