The only thing I dissagree with on that list is (if I

read it correctly) that it lumps all the D's together

in the early 70's and makes no separate mention

of the 18 auto which was a predessesor to the D

series. There might also have been a 16 auto as

well.

I know some consider these all the same..I don't.

Others might find their own skeptical conclusions

of course.

guys that was a list a put together 2 or 3 years ago..and it was copied from a website I had running at the time. I have a more updated verision and I will make the changes mentioned here and post a new copy.(updated)

Mr teddy bear ..please explain in more detail what you want it to look like and Ill fix'er up

If there is anything else you see let me know and Ill change it...I copied all this information out of a 1999 Toro Help book and it took me and my wife hours to put it all on excel. I made changes to what I seen wrong, but that was a few years ago

There might also have been a 16 auto

The 1973 16 Automatic (1-0440) is a "normal" garden tractor. It basically became the C-160 Automatic in 1974.

I can't access .xls files on this 'puter, so I'll have to find another way to open that list.

Stone...

Did not have any idea that was a list you composed.

You did a great job! And I sure don't want to come

off like a "know it all". God knows this world is too

full of them as it is....

I just noticed the absence of those two tractors.

I do not want you to think I was picking it apart.

I just approach it like "if it was given it's own decal"

then it was intended to be recognized by that.

(yes I know of a few exceptions to that too....lol)

those look fine to me.

The 18 auto I believe first appeared in 1969

or 1970.

The 18 Automatic is 1973 only - just like all the other "Horse with no name" 1973 models.

That was the first and only year for that model. They are technically not a D series, even though they "became a D-180" the very next year. Prior to 1973 nothing resembling them existed, and I believe they were intended to be the GT-14's replacement.

I had the Open Office software up until I reformatted my hard drive last summer.

My Dell was substantially blessed with all kinds of extras when it was new 6 years ago, but RAM wasn't one of them. I try to keep only the necessities on here or the old girl crawls like an arctic turtle. If I see the "virtual memory too low" message one more time, I just might have to give this thing a virtual whoopin'!

if anyone wants a new edition of that old file I can email the excel spreedsheet over to you...(the link does not have my lastest updates)

I have added a new filter feature you will see the tabs at the top of each column..

this way you can choose to see which ever models you want to see....sort by hp, eng make, model number, series type..etc

Send me an email and I will just reply with the attachment

Im always working on updating it as you will find its still missing alot of information and some of it still needs correcting...Im also working on an attachment file, I hope to have it up soon
