ohiofarmer 3,372 #1 Posted April 13, 2017 It is time to gather those old receipts. Anything that you bought from april of 2011 till december of 2016 qualifies for an additional 10% off or a 12% store credit. In my case, it will add up to a decent amount of money. Fortunately for me, i always wrote off tool purchases on my taxes and I still have the receipts. Many of the receipts are not very readable, but the cred card statement showing a HFT purchase is just as good. I am thinking i would have enough for a Predator engine. i am also thinking that HFT would not allow further coupons to be used with settlement credits, but that is just a wild guess. If that is true, the 10% cash would be the better option to the 12% credit. Start on this task and let me know how it goes. You have to have it done by Aug 7th to get your money The link to the article is here http://www.daytondailynews.com/business/shop-harbor-freight-settlement-could-mean-money-for-you/LGoyBoloGDpOnJFz0U32bO/
Dan693 510 #2 Posted April 13, 2017 I looked into this a little and from what I saw you could receive 10% or so on the amount shown on the receipt.....that you saved on the purchase......not the purchase price. I came up with a few hundred in receipts and I would have gotten like 8 bucks back. Not worth the effort to me.

The article states that the "you saved" amount on the original receipt is worth 20% if taken as cash or 30% of in store credit. It goes on to state 10% or !2% of the entire invoice listing from a credit card statement on the entire purchase amount as cash or in store credit respectively. I heard the tail end of this story on Clark Howard, so maybe i will check there. Maybe the 'Pennies from Heaven" is not so far off. After i had a bunch of tools ripped off that were milwaukee and Makita and suffering behavior that was borderline fraud from my own insurance company, I decided that replacing some of the tools with the "better" line from HFT was an option to consider. If you are careful to read the reviews, HFT has some stuff that is not too bad a value.
