Hi guys..new here and this place may help me as I have a problem...

Here it is

I have a D180 and I broke the right hand steering spindle....I have looked high and low....seems it is a discontinued part....part no. 103798

Now this old girl needs a new leg and I am not ready to put her down......so any of you guys got any ideas about where to find a right hand steering spindle????

Thx

:text-welcomeconfetti:   You might try A to Z  parts in the vendor section  at the top of the page - or place an ad in the classified section at the top of the page in Wanted.....someone will help you I am sure...:)

:WRS:    I'm sure we can find her a new leg. Perhaps @daveoman1966 or others with a "D" can help.

:WRS:  There ought to be a part out there somewhere. Please keep checking back here. Sometimes the guy with the part may not check in for a couple of days or even weeks, so don't get discouraged.

"D"- Man

I assume this is a 3/4" spindle, if so have you considered converting to the heavy duty 1" axle/spindles and bearings?

:text-welcomeconfetti: to the :rs:  Someone on here should have one,  but if they don't, hitch a ride East in June to the Big WHCC show in Pa. You will find one there.

As others mentioned, place a wanted ad in our classified section, and also check out A-Z tractors in our vendor's section.  Here is a direct link to A-Z's website:  http://a-ztractor.com/

well guys i thank you all for the warm welcome

i called A-Z yesterday and had a great talk with Lincoln about this part,,,,and he said he was going to make some up since they are so hard to come by,,,he said it would be about a week and he would give me a call so we could arrange some shipping,,,he seems like a great guy willing to help the cause

we had a nice chat exchanging ideas and getting measurements for him,,,he said he was going to make both sides,,,,so looks like new parts are in the pipeline again

thx much to all of you guys for the help and guidance,,,,and especially to Lincoln at  A-Z tractors

If you broke the 3/4" spindle , might want to consider hunting down the later model axle with 1" spindles - it's an upgrade worth doing . I did that to my D-180 and also upgraded to trailer style front hubs and bearings as well as full bushings in the spindle bores to keep it rebuildable for years to come , steers like a dream...
