jerrell 1 #1 Posted January 21, 2009 :thumbs: i was surfing the web a couple of weeks ago , and ran across an ad about a sealer that was stated was 100% garanteed to stop oil seals from leaking, i have a leak on my older tractor and was wonderin if any one had tried any sealers, the ad stated it would stop hydro leaks as well, i have a small leak on the C-175 hycro cyl , it leaks just enought to cause a dust build up and thought i may try it , if i can find the ad again, i remember that there was at least one member on here that dealt with, sold , or worked with oils, lubes, and stuff of that nature but can't remember who or find his post. has anyone ever tired this stuff and if so does it work or hurt the system??? kpinnc 14,587 #6 Posted January 22, 2009 Jerrell, I wouldn't put ANY additives in a hydro for the purpose of stopping leaks. The tolerances are so tiny inside a hydro that you may just lock it up completely. You'd be much better off having the cylinder repaired. Nick 13 #7 Posted January 22, 2009 Id be hesitant to add anything in a Wheel Horse auto unless it was already weak and might get replaced. Then again I would let a cylinder leak some fluid and not worry to much if its just wet and not a continuous drip. This product says its compatible with transmission fluids.
