T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,599 #6 Posted January 21, 2009 Terry , you and I will be old and decrepid befor we get high speed, unless we go satalite.. Jerrell, I'm just not convinced satellite is all that great for internet. I read too many bad reviews, see below: http://www.rateitall.com/i-837519-wildblue.aspx http://www.rateitall.com/i-891560-starband.aspx http://www.rateitall.com/i-26680-direcway.aspx http://www.rateitall.com/i-961058-hughesnet.aspx I guess my biggest complaint about satellite is they charge as much for their slower speeds as cable does for it's much faster basic speeds, and considerably a lot more than DSL does. It's expensive for a lot less speed than dsl or cable. You don't get much bang for the buck, sort of speak.
jerrell 1 #7 Posted January 21, 2009  T-MO haven;t really researched the satalite option, but that is good info to have, where i live, we will never have cable , possibly get dsl in the future, agree with you about the price, not feasable for me at the present. thanks again,
