kudzu3 323 #1 Posted February 15, 2017 Will probably be getting a '68 commando 6 in a few days, with a 6 hp kohler, rebuilt 6 years ago (?). Owner lost the key, so I have to figure out how to hot wire it to hear it run before I close the deal. My question is, I haven't seen too many of this model and was wondering if there may be any peculiarities about it that I should know about. Seems like a solid, straight forward tractor, but I just wanted to check with the experts. Thanks.
N3PUY 1,031 #2 Posted February 15, 2017 The key should be the same as any other tractor. Just take your tractor key along.

rmaynard 16,269 #4 Posted February 16, 2017 (edited) If you look at the parts list for the 1968 Commando 6, the image shows what was commonly referred to as a Snoopy key. Cole Hersee 83353 or 83357. However, my Commando 8 uses a standard key as stated above. You might want to take one of each if you have them.
