Recommended Posts

Every day this week it has been a pisser! <_< get off work suit up and blow the driveway. About 4" to 6" every night for about a 1/2 hr to 45 minutes and then its out to the stable! I guess if I didnt have all the projects going I wouldnt mind but ya gotta stay on top of the snow or everything gets a mess! All those tractors and nothing setup for the drive yet! :dunno: Looks like I need to get something for the Duke "O" Minium to make my life a little easier!

That looks like fun...:horseplay: ...for a few minutes. I don't envy y'all northerners at all when it comes to that much fluffy stuff. Stay warm Duke!

Well my friend it's about time you get yourself a horse with a blower on it. Can't see you doing all that manual labor. You'll never have the time to finish any of your projects if you have to keep doing that.

Duke,

I agree with the others, you need to get a blower on one of those horses of yours.

I also think LB summed up my thoughts on ALL snow removal chores - it's fun for a while, but......I would like a couple of accumulative snows to plow, but then spring can come back and the grass can turn green and WARM weather can return.......

Duke, I can't say I blame you

Personnally, I would rather mow the grass twice a week :dunno: then blow snow once a month

Just my opinion

I hear you Duke, I'm getting tired of the snow, I like plowing but once a week is kinda fun not everyday  I just got in from plowing, I even plowed a path from the barn to the house, now it's so cold it piles up fast and is just powder, the wind just moves it where it wants, mostly in the drive or walkways

at the very least get yourself a trailblazer so you'd be using a Wheel Horse!

Thanks for the thoughts guys yer absolutely right. The blower shown is a Toro 7-24 with an 8hp Briggs on it. The light was added late this fall with and I installed a full stator under the flywheel. That meant I had to fiddle and find the right bank of resistors to get the voltage down cause it was spitting out 38 volts <_< works pretty good now but its still colder than a well drillers azz. :dunno:

The Roundhoods will not see the action, but what I would like to do is get a larger tractor for that purpose with hydraulics  I want something with plenty of power to operate a snowblower. After the selecting is made would like to make a cab for it, prolly made out if lexan screwed to conduit. I would like to have the chute operate left right up and down by electric probably an electric gear motor for left and right and an actuator for the chute up and down. I haven't worked out the heating in the cab but thats the least of my worries because I can make a heat exchanger off the exhaust to circulate the heating fluid thru a small heater core with a fan blowing across.

Anyway what tractor would fit this bill? And would be a good basis for this project?
