I had already moved to Florida by then, but my cousin shared a photo of the  road to the family farm near Syracuse NY from her scrap book.

Does this mean you are going to take over Dick's threads on ths day in XXXX?!!?!?

That was a bad one, 10 years earlier was a bad one also, that was the only time we had to have a dozer come in and plow out our beef cattle feed lot so we could feed our beef. us kids had a blast playing on the huge pile of snow the rest of the winter.

After the Superstorm of 93 there was a north south major highway that looked worse than that. It was like 7 miles from my house. I was traveling down it to look at a snowblower for my 210-H. I met a state highway truck with a blower mounted coming the other way. It was a tight fit.

We had one similar to that in '78/'79 here in northern Illinois with over 4' of snowfall and high winds - no one moved for a week and quite a few deaths to boot ...never forget that storm and we had a huge pile of snow still in the back yard at the end of May when it was 80* outside ...
