Bttatro 94 #1 Posted November 3, 2016 (edited) So I have a C141 and picked up an Ingersoll HI Sweep. The hitch on the C141 is so low in comparison to the receiver on the sweeper I'm not sure what to do. There is a 3 inch difference in height? Any idea how to make up that differece? Is there a taller hitch I can get? Thanks Edited November 3, 2016 by Bttatro
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,518 #2 Posted November 3, 2016 Does your draw bar look like this one? http://manuals.casecoltingersoll.com/OperatorManuals/Lawn Sweeper M, N, P, R & S90 plus SW38 Operator's Manual 9-51248_watermarked.pdf If it does what happens if you remove it from the sweeper and flip it over? (After seeing other photos of the draw bar I think it would then be too low. Have a different make and had to make a new end for it that just bolts on. I use 1-7/8" trailer couplers on everything so perhaps you could do the same and bolt the coupler under the draw bar. Add a ball to the tractor hitch and it may get you to the correct height.) Bttatro 94 #3 Posted November 3, 2016 (edited) I did take off the draw bar and flip it over, but that caused the hopper to sit at a slant and cause the leaves to slide toward the brushes. I'll have to try the ball hitch. That may do the trick. Thanks! P.S. I would have gotten a wheel horse sweeper if I could have found one. Tankman 3,523 #4 Posted November 4, 2016 Perhaps a long 1/2" bolt in the Horses hitch with a 3" spacer. After hooking up the sweeper, washer and double nut on top to keep the sweeper tow bar attached.
Bttatro 94 #5 Posted November 6, 2016 (edited) Well, I did what you said @Tankman, but my bolt was not long enough to go through both holes of the sweeper, but it work and the yard looks pretty good! Now I just need to get my new idler pulley in for my mower deck to finish the yard off before it snows! Edited November 6, 2016 by Bttatro
