Nick 13 #2 Posted January 6, 2009 That sure takes some work out of burnin wood. Also makes things a bit safer over all the chainsaw cutting and then splitting the wood. Or even worse the old buzz saws that surly ate many a digit and limb. :D
KyBlue 655 #3 Posted January 6, 2009 Holy...CHit that is SWEET!!! - Different one, lil bit bigger, cooler splitter. Not quite as cool but I ran across this over on MTF : Overlook the Green & Yelller. I bet nick could whip something like this up for his FEL http://www.licketysplitter.com/

Teddy da Bear 11 #9 Posted January 6, 2009 Pretty neat as long as your dealing with smaller diameter logs and ones with straight limbs/trunks. I never get a chance at those kinds of trees. Most I deal with are huge 30" diameter and bigger. (the ones no one else wants to deal with )
bitten 134 #10 Posted January 6, 2009 Sure is safer then the one for the Wheel Horse, that hooked to the rear wheel. P.J.

Jim_M 179 #12 Posted January 6, 2009 Why didn't we have one of those when I was a kid we had a chainsaw sledgehammer wedge and a heavy ass spliting maul Kelly, Some things never change, I still cut most of my wood that way. I have a log splitter, but I don't take take it to the woods with me. I have to bust stuff into small enough chunks that I can lift it on the truck and then I split it at home. Once in a while I get some nice splitting stuff and it's faster to just split it all with an axe out in the woods and be done with it. Jim
