gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,515 #26 Posted October 19, 2016 The hairpin in the rod at the bottom of the lever should be replaced with a cotter pin. What is going to happen is something will knock that pin out. You won't know it driving forward but when you back up the rod will end up going straight down into the ground until it stops you. The only way to get away from it is to disconnect the rod at the front and then roll the tractor away from it. It took a jack to get the rod out of the ground which was now bent to 90 degrees in the center. Makes a good anchor. Garry 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
TDF5G 2,051 #27 Posted October 19, 2016 (edited) The pics ain't my tractor. I use the hairpins but push it all the way through to the large loop. Never lost one. I learned that from the old local dealer, Mr Kincaid. Some of the thicker ones you have to coax a little bit with a small hammer.
