gt14 valve lever/steering wheel

just wondering if someone can take a close up pic of the valve lever,to raise/lower 3pt hitch.,looks like lever on a woodsplitter.,its on my 69 wh gt14 thanks.also a pic of the inside of steering wheel for same tractor.

yes thanks,now just need to see what the end part of that lever looks like,just trying to see if I can come across something that will work if I cant get/find the original.but no need to take that cover plate off ,I'm shure,someone has a pic.,i mite also look for a parts list that mite show something close enough.again thanks.

@Aldon did an extensive post on his two GT-14 rebuilds, bet he has a photo. I can't say for sure, but i think I recall it being a regular threaded filling like a 5/16 bolt; been a few years since I was in there.

The knob end of the lever on the last one I did was not threaded. I used a dremel to shape it and a die to thread it to add a knob. The end that attaches to the control valve is attached via a small cotter key.

 

I'll look through my photo archive to see if I can find a detailed pic but I do not recall documenting it as my focus was on archiving the more difficult assemblies.

I have that frame cover plate off watching what has been going on with a slow, but steady hydraulic leak coming from the control valve.

The pics were no problema.

Should give you a good idea of what you need to do and how it assembles.

we should consider adding links to stuff like this and the thread you did on axle hubs and woodruff keys to the GT14 restomod thread and make a one stop repository for GT14 seekers of knowledge.

 

Sure seems to be enough on this model that a subforum topic might work.

thanks for the pics,i should be able to make one up,i repair a lot of mowers for people,and got lots of small diameter,rods with the holes already in the end.came off a lot of different controls for brakes/linkages ect.thanks again
