Hi folks,

 

The big Happy Birthday came! So did the Wheel Horse.

 

Thanks everyone for your advice while I was looking for a tractor. It was appreciated. Now here you go - share the joy of a sons 11 year old birthday. His first tractor! C-81 Wheel Horse.

 

Darn proud of it!

 

I'm going to need your guys advice going forward as it's been a long time since I did any rebuild. BTW - I havn't run it - It had old fuel in the tank and hasn't run in some years - but all the systems are looking great. He's getting to work.

I wish my grand daughter was a tom-boy, I would love to give her a , but she is a girly girl.  Your son looks quit happy.  

My advice would be to flush the fuel tank with a little lacquer thinner, replace the fuel line and filter, rebuild the carburetor and use ethanol-free gas with a little Seafoam added. this should get you off to a good start.

I bet if you cleaned the carb,  flushed the tank, new fuel lines , battery and a oil change it will fire right up. C81's are a Great tractor! It will blow your mind how much snow that little gem will push this winter!

That's one birthday present your son will always remember. He will be telling his grand children about it.The C81 is a real worker, it will do just about anything you ask it to. Happy Birthday young man.           You have a fine dad to get you such a special gift,

Yeah, my 4 year old is a girly girl, and I'm finishing this suburban up for her.

That would have worked when she was younger, she is 12 and very prissy! They make too much noise and "smell Bad". Oh well, we will just continue going to Disney World to see all the "Princesses". As long as she is having a good time I am happy to spend time with her; though I do wish she would attend the Florida Flywheeler Show with me, then again, that will be MY little escape from reality; who needs Rapunzel, Ariel and the others anyway! Pop Pop has  and Rumley and Hart-Parr and Gibson to see!

Lol, thank you. No, it has a Kohler K91. I'm rebuilding the engine now, then when I paint the engine it will be installed. I already painted the exhaust and belt covers.
