ACman 7,655 #1 Posted September 11, 2016 (edited) Well I spotted this on for a good price , but had a very vague description . Had the wife message him to ask a couple questions . Said it was a running driving tractor and cart came with it . So the wife hit the button , it was mine . When I talked to the owner on the phone he said he just no longer needed it . He worked as a mechanic , and always maintained the tractor and purrs like a kitten . It needs a choke cable , seat (the original is flatten out under the new cushion) maybe rear tires . He was kinda upset because someone stole the hood ornament . Said it was a prancing horse and was his favorite part of tractor . The cart is pretty rough but it looks to be a early one ? All in all I think I did pretty good for what I paid . Son got off the truck and tested out the mower , ran and mowed great until it ran out of fuel ( hope that's it) . So here's my new to me 856 . 953 nut 60,504 #8 Posted September 11, 2016 That little cart is the correct year for the RJ or Suburban. I have one and the fit in the later model slot hitch is a bit sloppy, but it is great on the early round hoods. The draw bar on it is a real engineering marvel! The shot frame tractors are neat, I keep a snow blade on mine year round.

elcamino/wheelhorse 9,362 #10 Posted September 11, 2016 @ACman If you keep buying all the tractors you are going to need a bigger barn for storage. Nice score.

Yes I know , this is the last tractor for awhile . I have a 40' x 60' barn with just a path for me to go from one door to the other , rather embarrassing . A shop half built on one end and crap everywhere . Kids can't ever put anything back where it goes . For those of you who know it's not like I can do myself . Hopefully soon it will be getting cleaned up , before the cold weather sets in .

DougC 2,643 #21 Posted September 12, 2016 That's great when you can get'em cheap and start'em up and drive'em onto the trailer under their own power. You know the seller didn't lie to you (stretched the truth....) and smile all the way home!!!
