T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,369 #1 Posted August 24, 2016 I'm at work, so I can't measure the frame at the front of my 551. But, I was thinking about adding a front weight bracket. I currently have a front weight bracket on my 1966 John Deere 110 and have thought about modifying it to fit a Wheel Horse, and make it interchangeable to both the JD and a WH. I have a 3D model of the weight bracket, so if I had the frame dimensions of a 551, I can modify my 3D model to see if it would work. So If anyone can give me the dimensions of the frame at the front of a 551, that would be great. RF 110 Weight Bracket.pdf BTW, I would paint the bracket black so it would be more generic.

wallfish 16,197 #4 Posted August 24, 2016 Not the same. All the ball burner frames are 6 inches wide.

Racinbob 10,508 #6 Posted August 24, 2016 I assumed they were the same but after John posted that I had to go measure. Yup, 6" on my 400, 6.75" on front engines.
bmsgaffer 2,043 #7 Posted August 25, 2016 Would it make a difference since the 551 had the unidrive that none of the other nut roasters had? I dont have mine nearby but just double check.
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,369 #8 Posted August 25, 2016 I didn't get a chance to go out to the garage yesterday, other matters got precedence over measuring the frame of my 551. Maybe this evening. I wouldn't mind picking up a 8 inch Wheel Horse plow to test this thing in the field on plow day.

T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,369 #10 Posted August 28, 2016 I can make the weight bracket to where it will interchange between my JD 110 RF and a Wheel Horse Suburban.
