953 nut 59,352 #5 Posted July 30, 2016 As shown in the photo you appear to be connecting the battery directly to the started; bypassing the solenoid. If you attached the "+" to the battery it would crank the starter continuously. Like N3PUY said, both go to the top, the lower terminal is directly to the starter.
