clueless 3,231 #1 Posted July 21, 2016 I joined the Wheel Horse Collectors Club couple of years ago, get a card and welcome note and a decal. I have to remember what month I joined, go to the site to renew. To renew I have to file out another form just like a new member. During the rest of the year I get nothing. Is this how it work for other members? I know most of the money goes to the Big Show, so I don't mind joining, and the decal nice. But I would a least think I would get a renewal notice, or at the least not have to fill out a new form every year. I'm I doing something wrong? Chris. Racinbob 11,919 #2 Posted July 21, 2016 I don't think they send notices because all memberships run June to June. I think most members renew at the show.

I never get notification either because just as previously stated, most members renew at the big show. I think the form is standard procedure for renewing on the internet, at the big show you just give them your name and they find you in their database and get you renewed.
stevasaurus 23,275 #4 Posted July 21, 2016 Chris, I'm pretty sure the Big Show is all the WHCC does. What ever money they get probably goes for insurance and rent for the fair grounds.

So you think they do have a database. Thinking not to difficult to remind folks who don't attend the show. Just saying not what I expected from a club. Ed Kennell 41,904 #6 Posted July 21, 2016 I don't get a renewal notice, but I do get a news letter via e-mail.
squonk 43,770 #7 Posted July 22, 2016 I belong to the NYS Steam Engine Association. All I get are 4 newsletters a year. All the money raised goes to the Steam Pageant next month. I renew at the show just like the WHCC. My membership also covers my wife and I's admission every day of the show.
