tbarnhart 240 #6 Posted July 14, 2016 As I understand it, Kohler was not able to supply enough engines and Wheel Horse went to Tecumseh. In '74, some of the C-160 8-speeds and C-120 8-speeds and automatics came with the Tecumseh engines. They were made along with the Kohler powered tractors and were simply labeled as C-120 or C-160. The model numbers were different to correspond to the different motors, and the 160 hoods were raised up in the front to clear the taller OHV Tecumseh 16hp. In '75, they were back to all Kohler power except for a few C-120 8-speeds that were labeled as C-120 Special. Probably a pretty rare tractor, but I don't think any build numbers were recorded.
