engine runs but faintly blows blue smoke.

A little blue smoke shouldn't be a problem, after all we are talking about a 50 + year old engine here. The one on my worker 953 has smoked for over 12 years of hard work; just keep an eye on the oil level.

Hydro is strong and so is the motor eventhough it smokes just a little. She creeped up the ramps to the bed of the pickup with my 250lb ars on it at 1/4 throttle no problem and on the way back down reverse held to a slow creep and would stop in netural.. everything seems to be in working order down to the red light and cigar lighter. Im not sure if that seat is original to the 875 but it is original wheel horse.  The slot hitch is in good shape but the original cable was replaced with looks like some heavy duty steal cable and it came with a flat bar. It did not have the original rear wheels installed but it did come with them as a little side bonus. The deck is a welders nightmare come true.

Im 6'4" 250lb and the wife said I look like a giant abusing a minature pony not riding a horse. Lol.

:bow-blue:  You made on great deal there!      :twocents-02cents:           Be sure to read the operator's manual before you use it too much. The hydro needs to be run at or near wide open throttle to provide proper cooling.

Tractor drive belt 6146 replaced by 8005 and both no longer available from Toro - (4L x 72" or 1/2" x 72")

Garry

as to Garry post 8005 belt is very hard to find I only seen a few over the years. look at good quality replacement belt. I do not mean to bad news bear just letting you know what I went through. The autos that I had did not like the belts that I bought from the local auto shops. Good luck this is the one that I had. click on to make larger.th_1075isDone002.jpg

I have been using 875 off and on for towing duty to move other tractors around,  move rock in a cart and cruse the camp ground. All ive done is changed fluids and filters, cleand the gas tank, lines and carb and greased everything. Some days she smokes and others she doesnt. Its the oddest thing to me. She smokes some when just putzing around. When i pulled the c160 around the yard with the wife on it no smoke. When pulling a 15cuft lawn cart full of #53's she was bellowing but when I unloaded went to no smoke. I run her at wot at all times. Thoughts on the intermitent smoke habbit?

Bigfish  Some time when they are like that I use Lucas oil treat meant about 40%  to 60% mix with oil. It helps.

Hi all.  I am new to the Wheel Horse world and I have a question about attaching a tiller to my 875 before I start spending money.  Based on what I've read so far, it sounds like I can use the RT-366 tiller without having the 8-3311 PTO assembly, is this correct?  If so, does the RT-366 belt attach to the hydrostatic motor if there is a double pully (#6887) installed?

Picked this up today because I wanted the deck for my 875. The 875 has no deck so I figured this one is better then none at all. Question is what do I do with the rest of it??? 875, was told the engine needs rebuilding. Been sitting in a barn last 20+ years. Steering wheel is broke. Both front tires are shot and coming off the rims. Original paint. Plow needs the arm to turn the blade. Its repaired in a fixed position. Worth more in parts or as whole? Not sure I want a big project. What do you all suggest???

My 875 is missing the small spring that is attached to the cam/neutral plate.
The part number is 1230 and NLA.
Anyone have one or know the dimensions of the spring?
      Thank you!

      These appear to be parts # 5666 (nylon) need 2, # 5983 (Nyliner) need 2, # MW2195 (bronze) need 1.
      Please PM me here.
      Thanks in advance.
