Starter generators

WH 953 with a starter generator, seems to turn over slow although always starts. Is this "slowness" normal? Has new battery. I have had WH's in the past but always with the newer starters. I was thinking of rebuilding but wasn't sure if this starter has the bearings at both ends. I see some have a sleeve bearing. I'm not sure part wise if there is a lot of differences between older models with these types of starters.

They turn slow. If it isn't noisy and charges ok leave it alone.:banana-wrench:

OK I'll leave it alone. Thanks. It does start and charge.

S/Gs turn the engine over more slowly than the more modern bendix drive starter units.
