Jp southwick 1 #1 Posted May 6, 2016 so I fryed my ignition when jump starting it, so I changed that. now I don't have spark which is the first time I've ever had this issue. so far I've changed coil, Solenoid, and PTO safety switch. it seems I can't get 12volts to the coil or points. any idea's I don't have lights and can't find any fueses at all on this tractor. rmaynard 14,952 #2 Posted May 6, 2016 Try removing the two wires from the back of the ammeter and connect them together. If that's not the problem, it may be your ignition switch.
Jp southwick 1 #3 Posted May 6, 2016 I just replaced the ignition switch with a new one. i'll try connected the wires in the back of the amp meter. if that works does that mean the amp meter is bad?
rmaynard 14,952 #4 Posted May 6, 2016 Yes, all low amperage 12 volts goes through the ammeter. See diagram below: And be sure that the ignition switch that you got is for battery ignition and not magneto. Magneto will have and M lug on the back. Looking at the wiring diagram, the ignition does not go through any safety switch.

Jp southwick 1 #7 Posted May 6, 2016 my safety switch at the PTO is wired different than this diagram. everything seems to be wired thru it, the clutch safety, seat safety, ignition etc?
