Can someone tell me if I'm missing something on the choke functions or if I have it connected incorrectly.  Dose not open or close with dash control. I don't recall removing any linkage from this area.  I could be wrong , I have about 4 different motor things going right now. Did this and another carb Friday could have left parts at the shop. So of can't load photo.

The choke cable has to be clamped down near the business end of it....where it connects to the carb.  Otherwise, the whole cable is free to float .

I'll try again with a photo. WORKED !! :) Now, back to my question. Am I missing a linkage rod. At the shop today and there are no extra parts for this carb here checked all over at the house also, nothing. HELP ! I've got something out-a wack. Photo is drastically down sized may be hard to zoo  in on.

Looks like the cable is coming out of the casing at a weird angle.

Try mounting the cable below the screw.

is the little metal rod that goes from the choke linkage to the butterfly on the carb, I've lost 1 or 2 of them over the years, good luck

As Clark said, mount the cable jacket below the hold down, should work.

That's what I was looking for. Thank you Dave. I think rather than ordering one I'll use a piece of stainless tig rod and make my own. Thank you again.
