Maybe it's my size at 6"4" and 290 on the little toy that she finds funny? I once had a green tractor with a 18HP Kaw engine in it and this suburban would out pull that green tractor any day. It really amazes me what these little horse will do. I kind of wonder if the newer high HP tractors aren't rated differently than the old iron to make them look better???? I always have to start off in no higher than 2nd at low throttle and then throttle up after I'm moving. Anything higher than very low throttle and mine wants to leap forward on her back legs. I'm wondering if all these mid engines are the same or If mine is just high strung? To get into high gear, I have to be rolling in 2nd and quick clutch into third. I have myself and my boy trained to start off in 2nd & quick shift on the fly to 3rd when at full throttle incase the foot slips off the clutch on it. If I win the lottery I would love to get a tombstone weight. Maybe you have too tight a belt on??? That's what I'm wondering. The belt was on it when I got it. The pulleys are clean and shiny. I replaced the idler pulley as it had a bad bearing. The belt just seems to grab real quick? Brake/Clutch feels just fine, but the belt engages fast. Too much throttle in first and it will stand up. Second...fugetabout it.
