Well if you overload the trailer you can always Flintstone it across the yard!  Tractor looks great, I see nothing wrong with the picture!

I don't think that trailer could overload that tractor.  That little 4HP Kohler has plenty of power and then some.

I once had a green tractor with a 18HP Kaw engine in it and this suburban would out pull that green tractor any day.  :wh:

It really amazes me what these little horse will do.

I kind of wonder if the newer high HP tractors aren't rated differently than the old iron to make them look better???? (Kind of like the government unemployment rates)  I mean this tractor has only a 4Hp Kohler and my other current Horses are 8HP, but they all have more grunt than that green 18HP that I owned.

I had to look Clint up.  That's one big guy!

6'6" and huge!  Just wish my weight was in the same place as his.

I probably resemble Clint riding a pony! :laughing-rofl:

How touchy is your clutch RJ35?  MY 401 is very "grippy".  It's in or out.  A real wheel stander if not careful.

I always have to start off in no higher than 2nd at low throttle and then throttle up after I'm moving.

Anything higher than very low throttle and mine wants to leap forward on her back legs.

I'm wondering if all these mid engines are the same or If mine is just high strung?

To get into high gear, I have to be rolling in 2nd and quick clutch into third.

Taking off in third from a stand still is a no go on my 401.

Were you supposed to be asking me Red? If so mine is not touchy at all. Wheelies for sure if you don't ease it out in 2nd or 3rd. I can start off safely in any gear at any throttle. I have myself and my boy trained to start off in 2nd & quick shift on the fly to 3rd when at full throttle incase the foot slips off the clutch on it.  If I win the lottery I would love to get a tombstone weight.

Maybe you have too tight a belt on??? I have a weird spring setup on it too that I don't know if is correct or something a PO put on but it does work. I'll get some pics.

Yes, sorry.  Got your names mixed up in the last post.

That's what I'm wondering.  The belt was on it when I got it.

The pulleys are clean and shiny.  I replaced the idler pulley as it had a bad bearing.

The belt just seems to grab real quick?

Brake/Clutch feels just fine, but the belt engages fast.

Too much throttle in first and it will stand up.  Second...fugetabout it.
