Nick 13 #1 Posted January 13, 2008 Wasted to much time looking for weights in the garage today so I took some pictures of storing "stuff" to waste some of your time to. LOL Looks bad right now but it wont get a good cleaning until the temperature hits 70 again. If your real bored, have high speed internet and want to kill some time I put more pics of my junk on photobucket. Photobucket slideshow I like the Harbor freight parts racks, have 3 now. They are cheap and hold a lot of nuts/bolts and smaller Wheel horse parts. Did have to reinforce mine in the center to hold all the weight. They also have enough room under them for boxes to sort even smaller items. Harbor Freight parts rack Few pics of parts and junk on the wood shelves.
Rollerman 290 #2 Posted January 13, 2008 Nick those weights are in pic 5...can't you see then...LOL Looks like you have a pretty good parts stash. Supose I should get some pics of my cramped shop to add here & keep the thread going. That backhoe buckets gonna look good behine the Ranger!
combatmp29r 27 #3 Posted January 13, 2008 I agree with Stephen about the back hoe bucket Nick. I guess I'll have to clean the shop out some so I can get a few photos of it I just tore down one of my parts tractors to make more space. Its amazing how small of a sopace they fit into in totes Its not in the totes yet though just in a pile in the shop layed around the V18 so I have foot spots clear so I can tip toe through if I need a tool. Pics yep good reason to get motivated and clean some.
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,604 #4 Posted January 13, 2008 So, that's where Jimmy Hoffa is! It might be bad and cluttered, but it looks like there is a pattern to your madness, I just can't figure it out yet. :D
pond195520032003 27 #5 Posted January 13, 2008 Nice pile of part Nick i wish i had a garage for my toys and parts but i guess i use most of my yard for storage anyway Joel has seen my mess some of the other guys from the group have also been here i need to sort some of my part again, but i do have about 8 or 10 milk crates filled up i have some mine belting layed out on the ground with parts and attachments on it to keep them from being directly on the ground I hope i can get a building built one of these days i only have a couple tractors anyway :(
combatmp29r 27 #6 Posted January 13, 2008 Yeah a couple if you dont count the other 50 or so behind them :D
Nick 13 #7 Posted January 13, 2008 Hoffa might just be in there. You got to remember I took pictures so they didnt show all of the stuff! This is also only a 60 x 130 lot so ya need to calculate in the stuff per square footage ratio. Not sure about the backhoe project yet. That bucket might end up on a larger backhoe for the xi and a smaller version could be built for on the Load Ranger. If you were to look real close the valves I might use are on the corner shelf and 6 big cylinders are under the seat pan up on top of the 3 tier wall shelf. I forgot to mention the firestone tires. For some reason they cut groves in the bar tread. Not real sure what the plan was. Maybe to help on the side of a hill or maybe they heard of cut tires and cut around the tire. :(
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #8 Posted January 13, 2008 This is not the scene of a plane crash, guys! Here's a little view of my stash in it's majorly disorganized form. (If you remember me saying before, I just got rid of 4 truckloads of Mustang/Capri stuff from upstairs in the shop and haven't had time to fill it with WH stuff yet. )
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,604 #9 Posted January 13, 2008 I don't know but instead of seeing the clutter I'm focusing on the Wheel Horses and the parts you guys got. I wish I had a building filled with that stuff (I'm sure my wife would disagree!) :D
Rollerman 290 #10 Posted January 13, 2008 Nice stash of parts Terry....& I see some usefull ones there too. Currently where I live in town my lot can be seen on all 4 sides...so I have to keep my parts tractors arranged pretty neatly or the "Town" leaves me a pink note. One of these days the wife & I will have a nice humble house with a decent peice of property & I'll have my rockstar garage. :P
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #11 Posted January 13, 2008 One of these days the wife & I will have a nice humble house with a decent piece of property & I'll have my rockstar garage. I wish I had it to do over again here. I'd build a huge garage with a little "efficiency" apartment upstairs. I really do NEED to get some of this stuff inside soon -- it won't be worth much to anyone if I don't.
kpinnc 14,641 #12 Posted January 13, 2008 You guys don't have messy shops. They just look to me like they are very much enjoyed by you. At least that's my justification for mine! Nick, you need a couple more belts. Terry, I think you just need me to come up and load my trailer with all that stuff in you way! A man's shop has many names- Dog House, Heartbreak Hotel, Asylum, etc... I call mine The Refuge. It lets me hang on to the small amount of sanity I have left. At least I think I think I think I think I have some left... Kevin
Sparky-(Admin) 23,151 #13 Posted January 13, 2008 Well after workin outside or in a partable garage I finally have a garage to tinker in. I have to let the wife have a bay for her van and my truck takes up one as well but theres 4 Wheel Horses in it right now. Mike......
nylyon-(Admin) 7,880 #14 Posted January 14, 2008 That looks great! So when's the barn... I mean garage opening party. Karl -- cooling down the Mich's already!
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,604 #15 Posted January 14, 2008 Mike, Nice garage. I'm glad (and I know you are too) that you were finally able to get it finished. Do you wanna ship that portable garage west? :D
Nick 13 #16 Posted January 14, 2008 Kevin, I got all those used belts and most of the time when I need a belt, every one of them is an inch too long or a inch to short. My brother just had me go after 500 new belts he bought. Thats some belts. lol Terry, Thats some nice looking piles of stock there. All kind of material for buildin something there.. Rollerman 290 #17 Posted January 17, 2008 Finally took some pics today to add onto this thread. A little short on space huh?
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,604 #18 Posted January 17, 2008 I don't know, Stephen. You hadn't have to put in a second level yet! I could take some of those off your hands (at least a plow and a tractor to go with it) :D
Rollerman 290 #19 Posted January 17, 2008 Terry maybe someday I can put a plow in the old rikshaw & meet you halfway? I'm guessing you'll find one closer than you think though when you are not looking.
chevelletown 37 #20 Posted January 17, 2008 Stephen, I seem to have the other problem..... a shop with no Wheel Horses in it. I'm going to pick up my 1075 this week end (in Michigan), so I'll take a picture of it in the center of the shop and maybe, if I'm lucky, my shop will look as cool as yours some day. Will they multiply if I put two in the same shop for a while? A super C and the 1075 might produce a cute little round hood :D
Rollerman 290 #21 Posted January 17, 2008 They won't reproduce...but you will feel an urge to buy more...& more..& more. And you think my dojo looks neat?...LOL ...a 60X40 pole building with a reinforced loft & heated floor with hot & cold running water, shower, couch, fridge, entertainment system, & a wet bar...now that be neat! PS feel free to visit on the way back down from MI. :P
chevelletown 37 #22 Posted January 17, 2008 Stephen Email me you number and I'll call on the way back. Do ya think you will have your entertainment center and fridge installed yet? I noticed you had a tractor for sale I'll ask about it on that thread. Don't want to get :D
combatmp29r 27 #23 Posted January 17, 2008 Now Stephen if you were a little closer to Peru I'd stop in when I go get the tractor and other items fom catman. I have to stop in Peru and pick up a set of cast iron wheel weights.
Rollerman 290 #24 Posted January 17, 2008 Well I do have cable,TV, DVD, & a stereo...but no couch, fridge, or running water yet...unless it rains. I'll PM my number...will you be driveing the yellow truck? :P
chevelletown 37 #25 Posted January 17, 2008 The yellow truck only comes out in nice weather, besides it might not do so well in the snow. I will be driving a Suburban with a trailer that has room for two tractors and only one spot will be filled :D
