All Eagle Nest Watchers...The're Baaaack

She just rolled the eggs and no sign of a hatch.      There are two fish in the nest.   Momma is hanging on in the 50-60 MPH winds we are experiencing right now. It took the top out of another one of my spruce trees.

I remember them leaving the nest, with eggs exposed to the cold weather...

for what seemed to be extended periods, on more than a few occasions.

Thinking this could be a contributing factor here.

Yes Craig, I have also seen them leave the eggs exposed, but I saw that last year also and they still hatched.  I'm starting to wonder if the extreme variance in temp may have caused the problem.

I don't remember  seeing  her pant to keep  cool last year.

 

We are under a wind advisory since noon today Jim.   WNW at 25 with gusts to 60.

You aren't kidding about the wind ...gettin queasy watching the trees move. She was getting po'd at that stick again.

Mama was off the nest and looks like we have a chick, she was eating and then went back to the nest, can't say for sure.

Mama just returned to the nest and is feeding the chick; so neat to see.

She is off the nest right now and baby eagle is sittin up and looking hungry

It looked like the baby was actually pecking at the fish.

Watched her cradle the baby as she sat back down on the nest, good Mama.

One of the eagles just brough mor food and flew off, feeding tome again.

Problems with the camera feeds this morning. Up on the HD on Tap site there is a lot of discussion going on about who's at fault for the poor images, and/or lack of images. So...I guess we have to wait for it to be fixed. If it has anything to do with Comcast we are in big trouble. 

Camera 1 not working at all, camera 2 is intermittent.

I wonder if the high winds may have pulled some wires.  One time yesterday while she was feeding baby, the wind blew her off her feet.  As beautiful as they are while they are in flight, they are really awkward on their feet.

The camera is back, although the quality is intermittent.  My be a loose wire.     The "stick" is giving her trouble this morning.

3/30/16 - It appears the eaglet that hatched on Monday night on the ‪#‎PGCeaglecam did not survive. As we’ve noted, the live stream provides an opportunity to view wildlife in its natural setting. Sometimes, that may include scenes that are difficult to watch.
