Sgtusmc_nc 0 #1 Posted November 8, 2015 Hello all I've got an early 70's I think b100 hydrostatic trans wheelhourse. The trans leaks like crazy. First question is can it be rebuilt or is it easier just to replace. second question will a 72 charger 10 rear end swap right in as a replacement?thank you
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,524 #2 Posted November 8, 2015 I would think an oil leak is repairable. What's leaking?Looks like you have a 90-1136 hydro. The tractors that used this model are listed herehttp://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/file/24-transmission-hydro-sundstrand-sm-492-4206pdf/I don't know hydros or their differences.Garry
Sgtusmc_nc 0 #3 Posted November 8, 2015 I would think so as well. I guess I need to take it out first. It looks like it was once repaired with jb weld or something
pfrederi 17,171 #4 Posted November 8, 2015 Several questions. first where is it leaking from the hydro unit or the transaxle? The Charger 10 would have had a hydro gear unit your B100 has a piston to piston...but neither had real brakes and looking at parts listings would seem you could swap it in.... stevasaurus 22,242 #5 Posted November 8, 2015 Yep, it should swap right in...you may have to cut some of the tin plates to make room for the shifters to work.
