Curmudgeon 28 #27 Posted November 28, 2008 Ok, I did some sleuthing. From what I THINK I've figured out, there is a reasonable explanation that had no need of all the secrecy of the moderators here. Some toes were stepped on, feelings got hurt, and some people moved on because of it. Happens every day. No matter how much someone says "play nice", it's a plain and simple fact, not everyone can be friends with everyone else. That's why I post a lot less than I used to. Some here I can call my friend, some I've learned to play nice with, and eventually, came to be friends with, (But I won't name you Duke, you're safe with me) others I simply do not like and because of who he is, I refrain from this board many days. (Nope, it's not TT, I will miss him) TT will be missed by most on this forum, but not from the internet, nor the world of Wheel Horse. If there is an issue to be resolved,then let the people involved resolve it. The way I understand the postings,is is TT's choice.maybe he needs a break or just wants to relax.If you don't know the problem ,stay ouy of it.Quit guessing and trying to make it look like a cover up. I really like this site and don't think this is the place for drama. I might be a newbie myself, but how does this look to the people just finding and joining this site. It's hard to pass judgement on someone until you meet them look them in the eyes face to face! Testosterone can flow pretty hard on a forum. I personally value our friendship and am glad we were able to meet and get past our differences. There is no doubt that others feel the same about me as you did, yes Im flamboyant, yes Im headstrong, yes I am very opinionated. But other than that im really an aZZhole at heart Do I know exactly what went on? Yes I do! Am I gonna air it here? Nope! Duff 206 #33 Posted November 29, 2008 OK, guys, I kinda feel responsible for all of this by having brought it up in the first place. I was only hoping if there was a health issue or some such (as we have seen among some of our members who've disappeared for periods of time) to reach out and offer my best wishes for a quick recovery or resolution, especially as we enter the Holidays. Sounds like it's not a health issue, so I don't need to know any more. That said, my final thoughts on this subject: In any organization as diverse as this one, folks will have their own attitudes, opinions and beliefs. Some tend to be outspoken, others less so. I would guess we represent all walks of life and a pretty wide range of ages, backgrounds and life experiences. Sure there has been some jawboning and the occasional spat, but heck, fellas, we're humans - we've got opinions, attitudes and feelings. We'll never agree on everything. God, that would be BORING! Most importantly, the overwhelming sense I've gotten in the year I've been a member here is one of good fellowship, mutual respect and a commitment to our common interest in preserving and sharing the Wheel Horse heritage. I've made some new friends here, and I hope to make many more in the years to come. (two smileys shaking hands) The Administrators and Moderators do a great job keeping this forum running smoothly. When I've had questions about something I've PM'd some of them and never, not once, have I detected anything close to a "superior" or "holier than thou" attitude - quite the opposite. They're just trying to keep things on an even keel. So....as we enter the Holidays, I will continue to be deeply grateful for my membership and that of very person who has joined this Forum, and I wish each and every one of you, and your families, great happiness, good health, peace and prosperity in the days to come. Thanks for hearing me out, guys..... And as Eldon said, there were a lot of other forums around before Red Square. I checked out a few and settled in here 'cuz it makes me feel "at home"! whchris 5 #48 Posted December 1, 2008 ok, i have been thinking long and hard about the best way to put this Karl asked me to remove Eldon and TT from admin status since these actions can only be preformed from my account. now with out question i did so and it led to a lot of hurt feelings and swollen heads (mine mostly). While it was never intended to because they are both great guys and contributed tons to this site. i should have seen this coming as everyone was kind of left in the dark. as to TT having a forum that is fine and as he pointed out to me by Terry duramaxdavid has a link to the forum he created in his signature now if i were making money off the forum that may be an issue but it is a place for everyone and i hope it can stay this way Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
