Lost Pup 172 #1 Posted September 11, 2015 I know i have read it but i can now find the proper link.Looking to Mcmaster.com for the proper PTO Brake Pad material. I have a few to do.This is for the outer brake which stops the bell from spinning with the PTO disengaged. Two rivets secure the pad. Mcmaster has quite the selection so a part number would help. Building an order with other items as well. Thanks
bmsgaffer 2,053 #2 Posted September 11, 2015 Send a message to @rmaynard. He does the brake bands and knows the right stuff. (Oh and he will probably stop by since I tagged him)
cleat 7,257 #3 Posted September 11, 2015 I may be bad but I have not installed the brakes on any of my machines. When you disengage the PTO, whatever is connected to it deck snowblower etc all come to a stop.If I have no attachment belt on of course the PTO will spin bit that does not bother me.Cleat
pacer 3,177 #4 Posted September 11, 2015 (edited) I'm like Cleat, I quickly found/saw that my deck would stop spinning as quickly without the 'brake' as it did when it took the trouble to install (which can be a bit agravating trying to get adjusted) Edited September 11, 2015 by pacer
