meadowfield 2,545 #1 Posted September 8, 2015 A few of you know I'm in the North of England - UK. I've just moved further North into the Yorkshire dales, an outstanding area with a great mix of wildlife, buildings, people and views. Much of our water for this area is sourced from the hills and flows into the main rivers in the area. These are the river Wharfe and river Aire. The valleys and hills are known as the dales and we get Wharfedale and Airedale as the areas. We have a canal crossing Yorkshire and Lancashire called the Leeds Liverpool canal - 126 miles of water and locks to Navigate. The reservoir was built to fill the reservoir in summer as the locks lose a lot of water when emptied! The limestone pavement is where the scene on a cliff where they filmed harry potter and the deathly hallows pt1Here's a few pics of the scenery and a few of our local village shows where we can enter and be judged on anything from horses, eggs, handwriting, fruit, sheep, dry stone walling....enjoy!
