gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,361 #3 Posted August 24, 2015 For who ever is keeping track My Commando 800 model number 101107 , serial number 863137 Thank you. Added to the listhttp://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/file/2013-tractor-1972-commando-800-da-om-wiring-snpdf/Your model number is written with a dash 1-0110.The 7 is not used but if you subtract 5 from that 6th digit you get the model year. 7-5=2=1972You will see 6, 7, 8 and 9 on the attachments at the time also representing 1971, 1972, 1973 and 1974.Garry
elcamino/wheelhorse 9,362 #4 Posted August 24, 2015 What series tractor is a Commando 800 ? Did Wheel horse only make in 1972?
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,361 #5 Posted August 25, 2015 I think the Commando 800 was a 1972 model in the USA and a 1973 model in Europe. In 1973 is was named a 8hp 4-speed in the US.The short frame tractors have a wheel base of 41-1/4"The medium frame models like the Commando 800 have a 43-1/2 wheel base. The long frame models like the Charger and Raider plus the C-Series except the C-195 have a 45-1/2" wheel base. The C-195 has a 52-1/2" wheel base and often named a large frame but so were the 953, 1054, 1054A and GT-14 but the wheel bases varied on these.I suppose if you want a series the Commando 800 would be a medium frame series.Garry
