Speaking Shih Tzu's. I worked at a Chevy dealer in the late 80's. The owner had this little ankle biter Shih Tzu. It was the General Manager's job to take this little dog out every so often. I don't think he did anything else except get a hair cut and new suit every day. Well the GM went on vacation and the job fell to the sales manager. We had found some fake dog poop in a used car. One of the sales guy knew about it and came out and got it. He put it on the rug of the owner's office. 20 min. later we hear this screaming and the sale manager is high-tailing it to the doll up area to get rags and cleaners! 207109581avatar.thumb.gif.a12f04742455bf

OK, here is where I am at.  I remember when ND went their own way and bought their own TV network and went on their own.  I and a ton of people, including some networks, thought it was a pretty arrogant move, and we were hoping that ND would fall on it's face for doing that.  They did not, but I still think it did not help them.  For sure, they are not the force they were back in the early 1970's when they kept playing Alabama for the National championship.  It looks like a team's dominance comes and goes (Michigan), old rivalries come and go (Nebraska vs Oklahoma), good conferences come and go (:no:goodbye SEC), and now we have what everyone always wanted...a College Football Playoff for the National Championship...and you still have controversy.  Geeze, if you look at all the banter up above...you guys even got evanloock out of bed...he has SEC and Alabama tattooed on his forehead.  Hi Evan...  :ychain:.  That is what is so special about this thread...if we keep it 3 steps below hostile...it is going to be an excellent thread...and a ton of fun.  :)

Right on Steve! Duke hit the nail on the head when he said, " you either love them or hate them!"
you mentioned OU and the Huskers: I feel that Duke hates ND as much as I hated Miami and Jimmy Johnson when they kept beating my Sooners in the 80's!  Boomer Schooner Jamelle Holieway and Kieth Jackson!!! Right on!

oh yeah, and Spencer Tillman was a good HB! Lydel Carr was a monster FB, and Switzer was the man!!

bitten...you missed the Maryland vs Bowling Green game.  Since you picked all Big Ten teams this week, I am going to assume you want Maryland...edit your post if you see this, but I will mark you wanting Maryland.  :)

Well, Michigan is in a fight for their life with WHO John? A PAC 12 team.... That was the other game I actually changed at the last minute. I thought because it was Jim's first home game he would have the momentum. Right now it is Oregon St. As they say, never change em after you have picked em!

I know Bob.  When Rob typed that in the 1st quarter, he was right...but I think we still have 4 quarters in a game and teams will make adjustments...especially in the 1st few weeks of a season.  :)   Michigan looked real good the last 3 quarters.  they are still only a 6-6 or 7-5 team.  :ychain:  :)  BTW...Illinois is undefeated this season...they have scored 96 points and have only given up 3 points in 2 games.  Nice start for them.  :bow-blue:

Crazy Mich State - Oregon game. Maybe Sparty will start to wear down as the game goes on. Feeling that a little now that it's 14-14.

So one of the games I thought for sure that would have been an open/shut case, Maryland! ARE you kidding me. BG gave them a thumping they won't soon forget!

2 Top 25 Teams fell already. Who would have thought Toledo would have taken down Arkansas, and BYU takes down Boise State!

I'm thinking the Maryland game was the biggest Big 10 surprise this week but not major. 12 Big 10 wins. Notre Dame never should have let Virgina stay in the game but they played poorly on both sides of the field so that's what happens. Losing Zaire will likely cost them big time. It also make losing Folston last week a bigger deal. It's gonna be interesting to see what Kizer, a red shirt freshman, can do. I'd rather that his first start wasn't against Georgia Tech. :(

One observation I had...the MAC CONFERENCE is strong at the top this year.  Watch out Ohio St., they play Northern Illinois this coming week.
Second observation...the Big Ten is finally getting some wins against the PAC-12.  :greetings-clappingyellow:
Third observation...Maryland does not deserve to be in the Big Ten.  This is your tough to pick team this year, they will win when you do not think they will, and the other way around.
Forth observation...I saw that ankle twist on the Notre Dame player...ouch.  ND games may get hard to pick.  :eusa-think:
