RD 36" issue

So having a problem rebuilding the center spindle on this B-60 (61-07k801(1976)) model, the deck is a 36" RD with no number tags so i looked up and found that in 76 they made this model 65-36xr01 which looks similar. so apon recieving the aftermarket spindle shaft and bearing assemble #230-078 (OE no longer available) i removed the old assembly and installed everything back to where i found it, the issue I'm having is once back together the whole assembly with ride up and down about an 1/8th inch and there is nothing i can see the i missed nor any holder suck as a snap ring that was missing, is this a common issue with there decks? or am i missing something the diagram isn't showing?

Thanks in advance,
Eric

This is the schematic of 65-36xr01.  The bearing # 6 is a tight PRESS FIT into the housing # 2.  Apparently your hosing is worn out or badly rusted...disintegrated.
There is no fix to that.  You'll need a new housing (2) and I have some in my shop.

Yes that was one of the first things I checked when I had the play, it wasn't a side to side but an up and down play I had and its the bottom blade adapter that I find holds in in place the spaces keeps it from riding too low and hitting the bolts, when I put the old shaft up to the new aftermarket one it looks like the flat edges they cut into the shaft doesn't go the full amount as the others, believe I measured 15/16" down on both ends on the old one and the new one was 15/16" on the long end and on the short side (top) was on 13/16" possibly even 25/32" and I thought that was the problem but seemed like too much of a hassle and the used assembly I had was in great shape came out nicely.
