1974 C-100 colored wiring for rectifier and amp meter

Recommended Posts

Kelsey

Greetings,
As a lot of you already know there isn't much room to work on the
wiring inside the C-100 steering column. I removed the rectifier from the front
of the tractor. As I was gently pulling it out, the 2 separate wiring harnesses came
off at the same time from the rectifier and the amp meter. I already have 2
schematics but the illustrated wire color is limited.

In one harness: 2 wires to the stator.
in second harness: red, orange, green,
Where do the wires plug into the amp meter and the rectifier ?
Thanks!
Kelsey

Does this diagram help? It is from the 1975 C-100 4-Speed parts list.

Thanks Garry. Twenty years or so, I had a charging problem with the C-100 so I wrote a simple
schematic for the rectifier. I couldn't understand what I wrote down but after looking at the leads and
the manual's schematic, my smudged drawing made sense.
Thanks again.

- The two white wires from the stator go to the top two pins, the orange wire goes to BAT+ up to the key switch.
- Red wire from Solenoid positive terminal to Ammeter +, Ammeter - (light green wire) to key switch B terminal

Heck Yeah! MikeRJ.
The day I was working on the C100's problem, I couldn't read my own hand
writing because the pencil drawn schematic was smudged by me over the years.
I'll cut/paste this page to my WH folder for additional visual help.
Thanks Bro!
