A horse of a different color?

Recommended Posts

T-Mo

That '76 looks like my '76, except for mine was burnt orange. I liked the look of the '79 and newer Capris, as I liked the look of the rear, with that bubble glass on the hatchback and the tail light looks. :D

Terry, you have to be the FIRST person I have met that actually likes the '83 to '86 Aero hatch. (most folks call them "bubble backs" :( ) I know I like them and it also helped them to kick butt in the Trans-Am racing circuit a few years in a row. :D

My green '85 actually had an ASC McLaren rear spoiler that made it look even better yet. :P

We dug this up a few weeks back in the chat so I'm resurecting it to add mine. By the way TT, I love the White RS with the 10 hole wheels. Bubblebacks ROCK! B)

1998 SVT Cobra (Gone in the name of having a Powerstroke) B)

1992 LX 5.0, 25,000 on the clock. Old mans car, but mine when I'm ready for it.

1987 Ranger STX Super Cab. (Picture from the day I sold it to my BIL. NEVER sell anything you love to your BIL. I had it 6 years, he trashed it in less than 6 months. B)B)

Please refer to them as "aero hatch" from now on. :whistle:B)B)

The saddest part about that car was the day I saw it heading for the scrap yard on a roll back - totalled beyond recognition. (two owners later - no, it wasn't me. B) )

Alcohol & 100mph+ across a rough set of railroad tracks, never regained control, went up an embankment, and the car flipped many times/many directions, ejecting the driver through the T roof and back-first into an old school wooden guardrail post. He has been paralyzed from the chest down ever since the accident. (I really don't know him, but do know who he is.)

Weird, while I was reading this earlier today, I could hear one of our local doctors out for his weekly spin in his Mustang. It's a P 51-D! The airport is not far from here, and you can't mistake the sound of that 27 litre Rolls Royce Merlin. B) I don't know how much Dr. Joe gave for it, but he is trying his best to get his money's worth out of it.

I had two mustangs....could not give them away.

Both were coupes. One 1988 one 1992 The 1988 had a near perfect body from the doors back. The 1992 was never in an accident but was rusting in all the usual places.

I had the 1988 crushed. And sold the 1992 for $200

I spent almost as much money in advertiizing than I got from them.

I still have parts from them.

The last Fox Ford that lived here was my '85 5 liter Capri. When I sold it I included all of the parts I had collected over the last 20 or so years, and the buyer actually had to make 3 trips to get it all. B)

Occasionally I still find a small part or two hiding in a drawer or cupboard.

Perry -- I'm glad to see you decided to get that Pony out and stretch its legs! :horseplay:

TT, you come across any door-window moldings let me know. i really need the outter rubber strip that clips in the top of the door. where your arm would rest if the window was down.

What's really cool about the Mid- 80's Mustangs, is that the LX models with the 5.0 were quicker than the Gt's...

But only if you put the Gt rear ends in them.

The LX Mustangs were 500 lbs. lighter is the reason why. :omg:

They were only about 110 pounds lighter unless they were a coupe. (coupes are about 300 lbs lighter)

The rears were actually the same.
