There was a 520 h with 60" deck on cl in pa for 225 buy it now running so I bought it. Not sure how I missed it in the first place. May pull that motor and install it on the 8 speed and sell the rest.

This thing came apart using air tools in all of 30 mins.

That's cheating ....   But so much easier

Ken was that the one that was just on ebay, I almost bid on that. I figured it was a RS machine, if I had known it was yours I would have.

Frame was primed with high build primer and first coat of valspar IH red with hardener and thinner. Needs at least one more coat.

There is a very useful saying in my line of work.
"You can't polish a turd"
But it looks like Stevebo can!

Now that is funny right there. I say that all the time. People really do not look close that the frame of a "restored' repainted or whatever you want to call it. They will look much closer at the tins. They will look real nice with new decal. Heck I may even be able to trade Jason this machine for his NOS Raider when I am done:ychain::handgestures-thumbupright:

Refurb or restore, whatever you want to call it, great work!

Mentioned PA (Pennsylvania) and surely you know it is against Commonwealth law to take Horses out of state.
We can come up quietly and pickup the Stallions and haul 'em back to Penn's Woods, mums the word.

I have great decal pleasures, smiles, usin' Terry's decals without the BIG T on 'em.

Jay-
I don't need 2 520-8 tractors. Maybe we will work a deal on one of those NOS tractors....

I am not sure what my plans will be for it. I think it will end up being a nice clean worker. I have one that is all original and IMO very clean. If I sell it I would have to get a decent amount for it. I don;t have a lot of money into it "yet" but have time and labor.

Today I made a round trip of about 7 hours to pick up another 520 down in New Hope PA. Got home, cleaned up the engine and then pulled it and installed in on the 520-8. Ken B stopped up after work and helped out. All mounted up but need to figure out a few wiring issues that I believe will end up being a switch or something. We are getting no power to the fuse block at all... Will take a look at the electrical diagram and figure it out.
