MalMac 1,328 #1 Posted May 24, 2015 I was out raising the flag this morning like I do every morning and was thinking about it being Memorial Day Weekend again. I was thinking about how on the news they were talking of Honoring Veterans. Honoring Vet's is something we should do and have a day to do that on. Memorial Day to me is a day set aside to honor those that paid the ultimate price for freedom. Like many of you I have had relatives from the Revolutionary war to the Civil war and wars after that, who lost their lives in the service to are country. So I take a quote from Mr. Lincoln's address at Gettysburg."That from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion."This is what Memorial Day is all about. 4 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
