Forum Layout question

Sometimes things seem like a good idea, until they are actually implemented and viewed.

That said, it "seemed like a good idea" to preface each category on the forum with the Wheel Horse symbol.  It is bright when there are posts and only slightly dimmer when there are not.  Well, after seeing the WH Logo for several days, to me it may be a bit much.

I have changed the ENTIRE general area to the default symbols, grey for no new posts and red for posts.

So which do you prefer?

I like the standard symbols as well, but I will also throw out there (cause I know that horses will be wanted on some sections) can we use a black and white horse for no new posts with the colored one on new posts?

It's looking like I'll start to convert them back.  Unfortunately, with this change it's like one way or another.  I can give any number of forums a custom icon which can ONLY dim.  I can change the default icon's to what ever we want which can be anything, or I can leave them at default.  In other words, custom icons can not be 2 different icons, they can only dim.

I'm going to start to change the forums back to the standard.  I'm pretty sure I know which way this vote's going to go anyway.

​X2. You've done, and continue to do so much. and already can't thank you enough....I'm not about to knit-pick things like this. Put it the way you'd like to see it. It's a new forum to us anyhow.

Made the change.  What I am thinking is when a forum has a new post THEN put the WH logo?  How do you think that would look? (it would apply to all)
