Wheelhorse 314 Engine problems

Recommended Posts

koalassquad

The other day I was leveling gravel with my wheelhorse 314-8 and I noticed a sudden loss in power and white smoke coming out of the exaust. The machine soon shut off and when I went to start it again, nothing but A healthy starter noise and the smell of gas. I let the tractor sit and today I checked the oil and it looked goldish so I smelled it. Gas in the oil. I thought it was the choke not turning off so I took the air filter off and oil in the filters covercover but choke was fine so I replaced the filter. Does anyone know what causes this or does it just need a oil and oil filter change and a carb cleaning

Are those INDAK key switched worth a darn?  I'm having trouble with my tractor too and that is the ignition switch I have.

I have a WH 300 series with a Kohler Magnum 10 engine and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the choke cable and linkage set so it will work. The numbers on the engine label  are worn off the, so I cannot give anyone that information. Does anyone have a picture or can you head me in the right direction.

My arm for the linkage assembly is set at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock if that helps. There seems to be several different linkage rods for this engine.

      Thanks

I’ve got a 520xi with a ch20 kohler. It has 982 hours. It runs fine, but after seeing this valve train kit on eBay, I was wondering if there is any harm or need to throw one in it. Any one have insight into this?

      Hey all!

Replacing the drive belt on my 252-h. Anyone know the torque specification for the center screw when I put this pto clutch back on? I know it was on there tight it took a minute for the impact to break it loose. Thanks!
