jerrell 1 #1 Posted November 5, 2008 :omg: just to rub it in a bit, i see on the weather station of all that snow fallin up north, and freezing weather, and today i am sitting in t-shirt in the shop puttering with the trator i'm rebuilding and sitting in my chair daydreaming on how i can make it better, i'm gonna have to turn the fan on in a minute, look outside and the sun is beating down, and i think about all you guys talking about chains, snow, and i think, WOW wouldn't it be nice to worry about cleaning the driveway,,,,,,,, NO :hide:
Teddy da Bear 11 #2 Posted November 5, 2008 I don't know how the others feel up here in the "great white north", but I am happy about snow and cleaning the driveway! I guess I feel a little sorry for those who do not get to experience driveway cleaning on one of these marvelous machines. Of course those in the south might occasionally use a blade to level some earth. But snow up here often comes more than once a week in a good winter. And sometimes as much as 15 to 18 inches at a time where I live. I am right in the "lake effect" snow belt southwest of lake Michigan. Yes sometimes I have to clean the driveway more than once a day..... Too bad you guys will never know the thrill of cleaning the beautiful snow. (just to rub it in a bit....lol) :hide:

big mike 13 #4 Posted November 5, 2008 "Once or twice a year puts my fun meter to full." I hear that! Mike, could you do me a solid?......PLEEEEASE keep the 15-18" stuff on your side of town. :hide:
kpinnc 10,686 #5 Posted November 5, 2008 I would love to have a bunch of snow... Too bad it doesn't happen here much. Maybe twice a year if we're lucky, and not much accumulation then. I've probably seen 5 decent snows here in my life. One storm dumped a couple feet on us, and the whole world ground to a halt for a week. The rest of the cold weather stuff we get is just sleet and freezing rain. I would be happy to give those away... Kevin
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,337 #6 Posted November 5, 2008 I only got to use my snow plow once last year:
saguaro 0 #7 Posted November 5, 2008 I dont think you'd like our snow. the early ones anyway. Usually starts as rain changes to sleet then snow so it's all one thick sheet of rough ice. :hide:
Teddy da Bear 11 #8 Posted November 5, 2008 Here is an example from this past winter. You cannot find the road we live on. Don't remember how much there was in the total snow fall... But think it was around 18" or so. I think it is just glorious!!! And I even do most of the road! As the plows might not get to us for a day or two.
Curmudgeon 28 #9 Posted November 5, 2008 If I NEVER see snow again, it will be TOO soon. One of the GREATEST things about having to move into an apartment, some other sucker has to content with that crap. And I was mild about how I feel......................... :hide:
