:hide: Hello, My name is Brian, from northwestern PA. Have a question, I believe it's a 62 502, but want to make sure. Numbers are 62-20026. Says 502 on belt guard, but has a amp guage. Is this correct?

A 502 shouldnt have an amp-meter - it was a recoil start tractor with no electrics. Can you post some pictures?

It talks about the differences between the '62 tractors - 502 (recoil start Tecumseh), 552 (Electric start Tecumseh) and 702 (Electric start Kohler).

That looks like a 502 to me can ya get us a couple more shots around the dash and front of tractor? yep no amp gauge should be on there

Does the dash tower have one hole for an on/off switch (502)? Or two holes, one for ignition key switch and one for starter push bottun (552)?

It may have two holes with one being covered by the serial number/shift pattern decal. If so, it is a 502. But why the amp guage on a pull start? Has the tank been changed?
